The Day the hairdressers was closed….

Standard

We went down to Maungaturoto to get a haircut at the hairdressers but it was closed till the 15th of Jan. Wan Lin asked,”Would you cut my hair?” Danny being very brave took on the challenge.

Here are the before and afters.

The cousin it impression…

Before the haircut…dum dum dum dum

Hubby started off the haircut with a big bowl that would fit my head. Using it as a guide to cut my hair… he names it the “bowl cut”.

Bowl as a guide to cut my fringe. It ended up a little tilted

Hubby hard at work. Big smiles from the girl.

Didn’t start off too well… but after talking about hair sectioning and how to go about cutting my hair , it turned out pretty good!

The final look. Little china doll look! Just what he was going for.

He is pretty please with himself I must say. Very proud of him.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Standard

Woo Woo thats the end of 2012. Pray everyone had a blessed year. Needing more of God this year than ever before, as we continue to be drawn in more and more toward what the Lord has for us.

Its been a year of ups and downs but lots of lessons learnt, lots of tears, laughter and frustrations but we made it through. Reflecting on 2012 with each other yesterday close to midnight(we fell asleep by then), its been a good one.

Both our highlights: Of course getting married! 🙂

Highlight for Wan Lin: Returning back to Singapore with Danny

Highlight for Danny: Returning back to New Zealand with Wan Lin

Lowlight for Wan Lin: Having to leave Singapore, and saying goodbye to friends and family for a time.

Lowlight for Danny: Having to wait 7 months before getting the all clear to get married

We’ll post some pictures later 🙂

Big hugs everyone! Have a Blessed 2013!!

Finally got the newsletter out. Trying to get something up and running so that there can be more updates. We’re trying. haha… really trying!

This Christmas season has been a little different for both of us as Mr and Mrs. Christmas Shopping with an extra brain has been really fun. We found out that we have pretty similar taste in things, we both like our presents to be meaningful to the other party and we both have expensive taste for stuff but cannot afford them. But we make the best of what we have. 🙂

We will be heading up to Pahi again, to house-sit. 🙂 Go GOD! Always providing for us. 🙂
